Drew Norman, a native of Orrville, Ohio, has art in his blood. While he has been creative all of his life and draws his inspiration to pursue the field of art and design from his mother who is a retired school teacher and a talented artist in her own right and a graduate of Kent State University. She has continued to be one of his biggest supporters along with his father a retired Navy man. Drew graduated from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1991 with an Associates degree in Visual Communications/Illustration Emphasis. Some of the course work that Drew excelled at included; Art History, Drawing, Painting, Art Direction, Package Design, Photography, and Computer Science.

His work ethic while in school earned him a 3.7 GPA and he was awarded with a Best in Show for his graduation portfolio. This was also a time of change in the Graphic Design field as the switch was made from hand applied art and design to the infancy of the digital age. Drew quickly climbed on board the revolution of digital media while still honoring his roots as an illustrator in an interactive world. Designing in Flash was a technology that came naturally to him.

March 2007 was a time of change for Drew as he ventured to Columbus, Ohio where the market was booming with interactive jobs. He began to independently contract his design talents with short and long term projects.
The contract job that had the greatest impact on Drew was Mills James Productions. His design talents were challenged and he took advantage of learning new web development technologies. While this contract only lasted 6 months, he credits his direct supervisor Sean Smith with helping him to grow in a variety of ways as a flash developer. To read Sean Smith's testimonial click here.
